Red

Colors found in the family of Red can include Crimsons, Scarlets and Brick.  Red is often seen as the color of power, authority and passion.  While this is true, Red is so much more too!  Reds can make change in may ways:  change of mind, change of heart, change of situations and more.  It is a strong color that bestows confidence and boldness.  Red just doesn’t have any limits, know the meaning of no and doesn’t give up.

Red is one of the most striking colors and for this reason it is often avoided or even feared… yes, it can be intimidating at times but this is more a reflection of where confidence is lacking or caution should be employeed.  Red is a warm color that can show us the way to freedom, success and liberation.

Red is often associated with life or life force energies.  Red is also strongly associated with love, including energies like passion, sexuality and romance.  Through history, it is also associated with the lower energies of love like anger, frustration, hate and war.  Yet when balanced and expressive Red can be encouraging, fearless and strong.  Probably due to the strong energies of Reds, it also bestows confidence, good fortune and achievement.

When in the presence of red, many people will become more energized and enthusiastic.  Reds stimulate other energies and increases them at the same time.  Too much red can be overwhelming but when balanced with other colors/energies it becomes a motivational force.  Red also provides a sense of trust and security which can negate doubt, indecisiveness, fear and anxiety.  When used to stimulate, Red is unstoppable!
