Blue

promoting a sense of peace and calmness

The colors in the Blue family range from soft pastels to dramatic tones; from Sky Blue to Midnight Blue.  Blue is one of the most popular colors around.  It is a calming color that soothes the nerves and mind.  It offers peace by negating chaotic energies.  It is soothing and can offer peace and serenity.

Blue also has a sense of stability, reliability and dependability and is often associated with wisdom and confidence.  Blue is a wonderful color for community as well and just as the blue sky covers us all, Blue can interconnect everything through openness and communication.  Strongly connected to the color of air and water, Blue encourages sharing thoughts/ideas from the heart as well.

While it is a cooler tone by nature, Blue is by no means an isolating cold but rather an inviting color that reminds to think before speaking, count to ten when frustrated and always hold onto hope.  Blue works well as a base to balance warmer colors too.  While not usually considered a neutral color, it works harmoniously with other colors.

Blue is a perfect choice when networking, collaborative efforts, group projects and conference areas.  The calm and soothing nature of Blues helps to create an atmosphere of calm focus so goals can be achieved.

While this color is all about communication and sharing, it is also strongly linked to spiritual energies by bridging the head (thinking) with the body (doing).  This bridge helps energies of the self to be transmitted to the heart and vice-versa.  Intuitive or psychic energies are strongly enhanced through the color of blue.  Visions, dreams and intuition can be expanded and better understood with the use of Blue.  Blue encourages learning to be open to new thoughts or ideas and this allows change or releasing old/outdated patterns to be changed.

Summary:  Blues offer calmness and clarity to bring a breath of fresh air to any spot.
